Reflection

And still her perfume grew stronger

While lighting the city's night

The stir on the face didn't linger

The tone of her cheeks became reddened

The red in the sky became deepened

The clouds are her saving grace

By showing the sky's true colour

Her eyes fall to the ground and watch the

Speed of the life get faster

But there's no sound

There she was

Looking hollow and statued in time

There she was

Looking drifted and lost in the wild

There she was

Looking straight into my eyes

And still the train gets faster

And still the writing grew stranger

While lined with prophetic lead

The sign of the times wanted longer

The sound of her watch became quickened

The quick-sanded grip became weakened

The words are her saving grace

Distracting her thoughts from the tunnels

Her hand's fighting the shake

As her reflection is wondering which exit

It's going to take

There she was

Looking hollow and statued in time

There she was

Looking drifted and lost in the wild

There she was

Looking straight into my eyes

There she was

There she was

There she was

And still the train gets faster

And still the writing grew stranger

And still her perfume grew stronger
